🆕 Christmas Closure

The Ward 6 Office is closed for the Christmas holiday and will re-open on Monday, January 12.

All City of Hamilton administrative offices will be closed from Thursday, December 25, 2026 to Thursday, January 1, 2026 and will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.

For emergencies involving roads, water mains, sewers, animals, or health and safety issues (including spills, outbreaks, rabies exposure, or water hazards), please call (905) 546-CITY (2489).

Waste Collection will occur one day later than regularly scheduled if it falls on or after a statuatory holiday:

Pickup of for Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25, 2025) will be moved to Friday, December 26, 2025.

Pickup for Friday, December 26, 2025 will be moved to Saturday, December 27, 2025.

Pickup for New Year's Day (Thursday, January 1, 2026) will be moved to Friday, January 2, 2026.

Pickup for Friday, January 2, 2026 will be moved to Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Real Christmas trees will be picked up from Monday, January 5, 2026 to Friday, January 16.
