=======================================================

At the September 17 meeting of City Council, Councillor Jackson moved a motion that passed unanimously to allocate $1,700 from his Ward 6 budget for a Thanksgiving dinner at the Swansea Apartments, a CityHousing building at 801 Upper Gage Avenue. Councillor Jackson continues to work closely with the Swansea Seniors Tenants Association – namely President Sue McTaggart and Treasurer Estelle Wooldridge – to assist in vital programming for the seniors who live in the subsidized apartments. Thanks to this funding, up to 240 seniors will enjoy a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
