Future Widening of Rymal Road East to 5 Lanes

The Rymal Road Environmental Assessment (including a section in Ward 6 from Upper Sherman Avenue to Dartnall Road) is nearing completion. The draft Environmental Study Report is being prepared with the intent to go to Council and issue the Notice of Completion in 2025. Once the notice is issued, final documents can be viewed on the project website for the project’s 30-day review period at https://www.hamilton.ca/rymal-road-upper-james-street-dartnall-road. Upon completion of the 30-day review period, the project will proceed to detailed design with the first phase of construction scheduled to begin in 2027 or 2028, however, I am lobbying to accelerate the project.
