
🆕 Keeping Kids Safe: Understanding Youth Violence & Bear Spray Risks
Given the recent rise in incidents involving bear spray, the Hamilton Police Service is inviting community members to attend in-person sessions on keeping kids safe, understanding youth violence, and bear spray risks.
These sessions will feature important conversations about youth safety in our community including:
- current youth violence trends
- the risks and realities of bear spray misuse
- legal and safety consequences
- warning signs parents should watch for
- how to talk to your child about conflict and safety
- practical prevention strategies
- local supports and resources
