Maintenance on Stormwater Management Facility -- 1199 Upper Ottawa Street (Monday, June 16, 2025 & Monday, June 30, 2025)

The City of Hamilton will be performing maintenance on Stormwater Management Facility (SWMF) #86, located at 1199 Upper Ottawa Street (next to the City’s Salt Storage Facility). This work is planned between June 16, 2025 and June 30, 2025.While maintenance won’t occur continuously throughout this entire timeframe, you may notice activity on some days. The schedule may shift due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Why is this maintenance needed?

Regular maintenance ensures the facility is working properly to protect water quality and reduce flooding in your community.

What to expect:

Temporary overnight road closures (approximately two consecutive nights from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Detour routes will be clearly marked. There will be some noise and truck traffic during active maintenance periods.A City inspector will be on-site to oversee the work.
