Partial Closure of Eleanor Park

A portion of the Eleanor Park will be closed and blocked off from Monday, September 22 until approximately Friday, October 17 to facilitate storm sewer installation and pathway repaving to improve drainage. The area has been marked on the image above. All other parts of the park including the playground, baseball diamond, multi-use court, and fitness equipment will remain open for use during this time. Some areas of Eleanor Park may be fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

This work is being carried out thanks to the successful advocacy of Councillor Tom Jackson during the past year for funding via the Ward 6 reserves (drainage study) and his support for City staff's funds to carry out this important work now.
