In July of 2023, Hamilton City Council approved 420-mixed unit, multi-story resident building with executive 2-storey townhouse on the previous site of Sherwood Centre, at the intersection of Upper Ottawa Avenue and Fennell Avenue.

Enthusiasts of 5-pin bowling will be happy to know that plans include 24 lanes of 5-pin bowling as part of a commercial plaza that will also feature a medical clinic and underground parking. Dwelling units will be marketed to East Mountain seniors and retirees first and groundbreaking is expected in 2025.
