YOUR FEEDBACK IS REQUESTED FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS ON LIMERIDGE ROAD EAST BETWEEN UPPER GAGE AND MOUNTAIN BROW BOULEVARD

A new cycling-related infrastructure project is being planned for Ward 6! This project proposes a one-sided, two-way cycle track along the south side of Limeridge Road East between Upper Gage Street and Upper Kenilworth Avenue. A Multi-Use Path (MUP) is also proposed along the north side of Limeridge Road East between Upper Kenilworth Avenue and the Escarpment Rail Trail. There is a future planned connection from the Escarpment Rail Trail to Mountain Brow Boulevard, which will complete this east-west connection.

The type of infrastructure being proposed includes:

  • a 3-metre, one-sided, two-way cycle track with a buffered area consisting of flex posts and pre-cast concrete curbs
  • a 2.5-metre to 3-metre multi-use path intersection improvements at Upper Gage Street and Upper Ottawa Street including bicycle signal heads, pavement markings, and signage

This project is proposing to consolidate all on-street parking to the north side, with no permitted on-street parking on the south side of Limeridge Road East from Upper Gage Avenue to Upper Kenilworth Avenue. The goal is to maintain the same number of parking spaces within this infrastructure, cycling-focused project.
